Methodology

The base is German online shoppers with at least one Buy Now Pay Later payment signal recorded between January 2025 and July 2026. The share for each provider is the proportion of those shoppers who showed a signal specifically linked to that provider — through an explicit installment-payment label in their transaction data, a provider servicing email, or (for PayPal) a notification referencing the Ratenzahlung or Pay Later product. Shares overlap because many shoppers use more than one provider. Results are weighted to reflect the German adult online-shopping population.
